Tampilan Office 2011 untuk Mac OS X

Kabar terbaru datang dari perusahaan software terbesar, Microsoft, yang mengkonfirmasi akan merilis versi terbaru Office suite 2011 untuk Mac OS X sekitar tahun 2010 ini.

Menurut salah seorang juru bicara Microsoft, Eric Wilfrid, Office 2011 ini menawarkan koneksi terbaru untuk layanan Microsoft lengkap dengan update UI dan menjamin keseragaman dokumen bersama antara berbagai platform.

Wilfrid menjelaskan bahwa Office 2011 terdiri dari beberapa feature baru co-authoring yang menyediakan kemampuan untuk bekerja menggunakan Word, PowerPoint atau Excel dari lokasi yang berbeda. Selain itu, suite yang baru ini menawarkan koneksi langsung ke Microsoft Office Web Apps dengan antarmuka “ribbon” yang berbasis Mac klasik dan menu toolbar standar.

“Kami juga memperkenalkan Outlook untuk Mac yang akan meng-import .PST file dari Outlook untuk Windows. Outlook untuk Mac terdiri dari aneka feature andal, kecepatan tinggi, dan file berbasis data base dengan pencarian Spotlight dan back-up dukungan dari Time Machine,” jelas Wilfrid. Wilfrid juga mencatat bahwa Outlook untuk Mac ini akan terintegrasi dengan Office 2011 menggantikan Entourage.

“Outlook untuk Mac merupakan aplikasi baru yang memanfaatkan protocol Exchange Web Services. Hal ini tentu memungkinkan peningkatan integrasi dengan sistem operasi Mac,” imbuhnya.
